The Reigate Society
  • Works to conserve and improve the environments of Reigate, Redhill, Merstham and the surrounding areas.
     
  • Was founded in 1952 by people who had prevented development on the beautiful parkland surrounding the Priory, an historic house in the centre of Reigate.

  • Has influenced many many schemes, such as the Harlequin Centre and the Belfry Shopping Mall in Redhill, the Safeways/Morrisons site and the proposed ring road in Reigate, enhancing open spaces and preserving and planting trees, etc, etc, and has responded to many county and national surveys, including the County Plans and the Gatwick Airport Review.
