Further information on talk by Jeremy Early on 28 January 2010
Despite massive reductions over the last century, and continuing pressure necessitating vigorous defence, Surrey retains a significant body of heathland. The habitat offers stunning locations for fauna and flora as well as human relaxation and Reigate is well placed in this regard. Reigate Heath leads the way, backed by other smaller sites along the sandy Greensand Ridge. Jeremy Early, local photographer, naturalist and species recorder for Surrey Wildlife Trust, has a passion for Heathland which he is going to share with us when talking about Reigate’s heathland riches. Some of Jeremy's photographs and much information can be seen on the web site www.natureconservationimaging.com. |
