Additional Information | Roger Davies is the Chairman and magazine
editor of the Captain W E Johns Appreciation Society. He is
the former Chief Executive of a London wide public body,
Principal Secretary of the Royal Stuarts Society and an
active member of various historical, literary and heritage
organisations. He will be talking about houses lived in by Captain W E Johns, author of the famous and popular Biggles adventure books for boys. The Society has recently placed a blue plaque on the house in Colley Manor Drive, Reigate, where W E Johns lived from 1938 to 1947. |

Pilgrims Way ran from Winchester to Canterbury, whilst
the North Downs Way covers the 153 miles from Farnham

the Nutfield History Group. He will use two screens to display photographs and diagrams of buildings, which in many cases are so altered that only a few clues remain as to the original plan. |

Imperial College. He has employed his expertise in sedimentology
in such diverse fields as oil prospecting and viticulture. He will give his locally well-known and entertaining talk on the geology of the Reigate and Dorking area and the raw materials it contains. |

re-modelling Priory park. In this talk he concentrates on the Priory murals and the mystery as to which artist was responsible for them. |
